SUNDAY MEN’S BIBLE CLASS Resumes January 8th Resuming January 8, the Sunday 9:30 am Men’s Bible Class will continue studying the cult of Islam, and how to reach those who have been caught up in this dangerous false religion. As Islam continues to make inroads into American culture - even to the point of being a topic of Presidential debates, more and more Muslims are moving into the mid west and building mosques- which we cannot enter! Places in England and mainland Europe now have been designated “Sharia Law Zones” where all women must wear Islamic clothing only, and allow no alcohol or cigarettes, gambling, secular music or gender mixing. How can we understand the 1,300 year history of Islam to see where it will be going in the next decade or two in America? How can we understand their teachings so as to winsomely reach out to those lost to the doctrines of the mad man Mohammad? Can Islam exist in a republic / democracy like America? Is Allah just another name for the true God? Why are Muslims willing to die for their beliefs? How are our laws changing ALREADY? Join us to understand this insidious theocracy whose inherents have vowed to make America fully an Islamic nation no matter what. Women are welcomed to join us, but some discussion and videos are frank and brutal!

arriage 101: Beginning April 15th, we will begin a marriage 101 workshop here at Praise. This class, led by Pastor Brown, will take couples through 6 classes of helpful information on relationships. But don’t let the name fool you…
Marriage 101 isn’t just for the married. This class is appropriate for couples who wish to have pre-marital
counseling, currently married couples looking to experience a little renewal in their marriage, or even
interested singles who are dating may attend. This is offered through the Special Ministry of Outreach
within our congregation. If you know people from outside of Praise that would like to take this course,
please invite them. We even have online options for those who can’t come in person (military personnel,
college students, or those living out of the state). The twelve sessions (2 forty-five minute sessions per each
meeting day - including 1 introductory session and 1 wrap-up session) will be held on Sundays at Praise
from 1-2:30pm. This is a total of 6 meeting days beginning April 15th. There are only two costs involved.
One is for your own workbooks. Workbooks cost $14.95 each and every person needs one (couples
may not share). Depending on the number of people ordering, shipping costs may vary. The other cost
is for your online assessment. Each couple will pay that directly to the company ($29.95 per couple –
payable to prepare-enrich.com) Please make checks for the workbooks payable to Praise Lutheran
Church and give to Pastor Brown by April 1st. This will be the deadline to register for the class
Voters Meeting Sunday, April 22
The next Voters Meeting will be Sunday, April 22 following the 2nd service. This meeting is very important
because we will be having elections. The following are the positions that are up for election and who has currently volunteered to be on the ballot.
President Elect: empty ballot
Financial Secretary: Todd Klopfenstein
Stewardship: Nick Scheumann
Child Care: Jason Hoeppner
Parish Education: empty ballot
Youth: Paulette Moran
Worship: Kathy Mildred
Spiritual Care: Five spots with no one on the ballot
Not only do we need volunteers for the empty slots on the ballot, it would also be great to have multiple selections for any of the positions. Please contact Nick Scheumann if you have any interest in serving. His email is shoedust@hotmail.com or you can call him at 260-573-1209.
HOMEWORK CLUB
Homework cl
ub will continue during all Thursdays in April. Youth (3rd – 12th grades) and chaperones are invited to come from 4:30 to 7:30. Those coming to Homework Club should come to
the Little Praisers child care entrance. The church doors are always locked before 6pm for security
reasons, but a simple ring of the doorbell should get you quick entrance.
