“Providing Quality Christian Care for every child in an
academically focused, high quality, Lutheran, Christian environment.”
Welcome! We are here to serve you.
Our purpose is to “make disciples of children by fostering Christian fellowship and love through a quality Christ-centered child care and school program”
We do this by …
1) Providing a safe environment designed especially for children
Our education wing opened it’s doors in the Fall of 2001. It features large classrooms, tile and carpeted flooring, restrooms in each room and observation windows throughout.
Two large, age appropriate, outdoor play areas were completed in the Spring of 2003. Large grassy area to run and play and soft recycled tire pieces provide a cushion in areas designed for climbing and sliding. We also have a ministry hall where children can run and play daily, and when the weather makes going outside impossible.
2) Providing staff that love the Lord and have a strong desire to serve Him through caring, teaching and serving the children and families at Praise
God has blessed us with dedicated teachers and caregivers who consistently go above and beyond any expectations and requirements of their positions. We are Christians serving at Praise out of a desire to nurture, teach and share God’s love with these little ones. Your child’s teacher will take time to get to know you and your family and intentionally work with parents to provide the best care and education for each child.
Our full time staff turnover rate is very low. We have several staff that have served for over 5 years and two staff that have been here since we opened in 2001. Turnover is higher among the part time staff because they consist of high school students, college students, wives and mothers, and people training to go into youth or child ministry.
3) Providing Age Appropriate classes and activities
We serve children between the ages of 6 weeks to 11 years old. Each room was designed with children in mind and is child safe for the age level using that room.
For example: Our two separate infant rooms (one for 6 weeks to 6 months and another for 7 months to 14 months) allow the youngest children to have “tummy time” and to lay under play sets without the fear of older “movers and crawlers’ crawling over them while the older infants are free move around their room.
4) Providing a challenging, faith based, academic curriculum
The “Voyages” and “Faith Alive” curriculum provides weekly, Biblical themes and include activities that promote language, cognitive, social, emotional, physical and spiritual development. Your child will be in a learning center environment with many choices and opportunities throughout the day.
To make the greatest strides in development children need an environment of secure love and high expectations. They need a balanced program that provides child led activities where they choose what they want to do as well as teacher directed activities that the entire class participates in. At Praise, your child will experience both of these each and every day.
We always have an “open door” policy. You are welcome any time with or without an appointment. We are looking forward to meeting you and encourage you to come experience the Little Praisers difference.
