The total cost for this trip is about eleven thousand dollars for the entire group. So as you can imagine, we have our work cut out for us in our efforts to raise this money. However, the cause is well worth the effort.

Therefore, we need everyone’s help to support the youth in their labors to reach out with Christ’s love. Another way you can assist the hard work of our Sr. High is to also plan on attending and helping out with the live auction and gala dinner we will be hosting on April 25th. See Janie Degitz or Pastor Brown if you would like to volunteer for the upcoming auction.
There will be a mission trip meeting on Wednesday, April 29th at 5:30 in the youth room for all who are going. Please turn in all paperwork and be prepared to pay all money due (less anything raised through fundraisers) by this date.

“Radical Advent” and “Revolutionary Christmas” are the titles of the devotions available from Lutheran Hour Ministries for the 2007 Advent season. This year, the devotions can be used for both personal reflection and as an outreach tool for your congregation. “Radical Advent” takes the believer through stories and Scripture with the Lord and Savior whom they have come to know and love and guides them to a rich personal time with the King! Written in a style more traditional and, perhaps, more familiar to Christians, these texts illuminate the timeless story of God’s radical gift to the world as given in the birth of His Son. These devotions are available in both English and Spanish. “Revolutionary Christmas” is a series of challenging messages taking those who don’t yet know the Savior on a journey to navigate the holiday clutter to the essence of Christmas. Through pointed questions and contemporary language, these meditations guide the reader to God’s love as revealed in Bethlehem and Jesus’ sacrifice as fulfilled on the cross. Both “Radical Advent” and “Revolutionary Christmas” have been created in a PDF format that makes it easy for you to customize with your church information and to distribute throughout your community. This type of project is a great way to get a variety of people from your church involved in a meaningful outreach effort this Christmas season.

For those who would prefer to listen online, we are pleased to announce that an audio version of “Radical Advent” daily devotion will be available.

You can also sign up to receive the “Radical Advent” Daily Devotion via email.
