We have 10 youth + 1 college age student + Pastor Brown who will be traveling to Saltillo Mexico to spread the Gospel and build shelters for the poor.
The total cost for this trip is about eleven thousand dollars for the entire group. So as you can imagine, we have our work cut out for us in our efforts to raise this money. However, the cause is well worth the effort.
Therefore, we need everyone’s help to support the youth in their labors to reach out with Christ’s love. Another way you can assist the hard work of our Sr. High is to also plan on attending and helping out with the live auction and gala dinner we will be hosting on April 25th. See Janie Degitz or Pastor Brown if you would like to volunteer for the upcoming auction.
There will be a mission trip meeting on Wednesday, April 29th at 5:30 in the youth room for all who are going. Please turn in all paperwork and be prepared to pay all money due (less anything raised through fundraisers) by this date.

It’s another “all Praise” event at our church. All ages are invited to gather and attend the Faith Night at the Mad Ants basketball game on Sunday, April 5, 2009.
The night will feature Christian music and the martial arts ministry at Praise will have a kiosk at the event to help promote their outreach efforts at our church. After April 29, tickets can be purchased directly from the Mad Ants box office.

A Short Note from Property Ministy
We all worship our Lord and Savior together as a family within the walls of Praise Evangelical Lutheran Church. For several years there have been great teams of volunteers who have worked with the Property Ministry to keep the roof from leaking, things from falling apart, every nook and cranny from getting stuffed with stuff, seeing that things are neat and clean, painted etc. Some of these volunteer/workers have come up with stunning ideas and the where-with-all to get them done. Praise pays for the weekly maintenance, mowing and professional services that are needed but others are done by those who so generously donate their time, talents and sometimes even their money for supplies. IF you have a neat idea, or are troubled by a particular condition, the way something looks, gets moved, adjusted or changed ~ please talk to me or someone on the property committee. No one is ever trying to hurt someones feelings, step on anyones toes or assuming duties where they should not, but sometimes individuals have issues with the way things get done.
Committee meetings are called when group decisions are needed on the big stuff. If we held a meeting for every item within the footprint of the building we would not accomplish much. In consideration for the property ministry I am asking for your cooperation and understanding in this matter so please call me if you have concerns. We try to address the priorities and deal with improvements as it is deemed possible to keep this facility running safely, smoothly and efficiently as well as being welcoming and attractive. Your grace, understanding and help with all of these matters is greatly appreciated.
